Hi.
I’m Darren Bockman; a Senior Graphic Designer with 10 years of experience. I’ve worked primarily as lead in-house creative responsible for both print and web requirements, skilled in brand development, marketing, sales, and corporate collateral and presentations, corporate diagrams and icons, design concepts, GUI mockups, patterns & style-guides, usability, and interaction design.
I have a certificate in Classical Animation from Vancouver Film School which provided foundation drawing and design fundamentals, and after working in the animation industry for a number of years moved into graphic design. This also contributes to an ability to think visually and with a pencil; not limited to computer software.
I live in Maple Ridge, B.C. and have worked my entire career in Vancouver; principally the downtown core, commuting the last eight years. I’m a native English speaker with a rudimentary proficiency in Cantonese.
I’m very proficient with the Microsoft Office suite as well as being an expert-level user of Adobe Creative Suite, using Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat on a daily basis, and to a lesser extent Illustrator and Flash.
